Events of the day

Seen:

A tiny ruler clearly meant for underlining words whilst you take notes. And I thought I was anal! I do admit the tinyness of it was cute, though.

Some American girl that wasn't me in a room full of Frenchies nearly bust her a$$ on the stairs and almost die. Ok, I might be exaggerating a tad, but it was embarrassing in any case...for that girl, I mean.

Half the students at the Conferences with pencil cases. Pencil cases most likely marketed for ohhhh I'd say about 10 year olds. Though, the kid in me is kinda sad I don't have one.

After school(that sounds like I'm in middle school or something), tons and tons of impatient drivers take the bus lane when they coudn't just remain patient and realize that, yes it's trafficky, but by taking the bus lane, you're really just cheating and getting ahead of people because it turns into one lane soon anyways.

Leah getting on track with classes, paperwork and buying cheaper, used books for class. Talk to me tomorrow, though, after my visit to the dreaded Prefecture. That visit might be a whole new post in itself. Boy, I really hope not! Ps-I need a job and bad!!!

everyone in the french program at my school (in California) has pencil cases. at first, i laughed at them, but then i got pencil case envy and this year i finally bought one!

Oh god, I love the stationery aisle. Clairefontaine makes me weak. Fountain pens, swoon. I was like this even in the States--back to school time makes me giddy.

At first I couldn't believe that an entire country of french people loved notebooks and inks and gummy erasers as much as me. And then I saw a girl with a little ruler, underlining her notes, anal-retentive, and I realized they've got me beat.

Hope everything goes right for you at the Préfecture. Bonne chance!

I giggle every time I see one of my 18 year old male students with a dainty little pencil case. It cracks me up. And having to break out the ruler every damn time they want to draw a line? HAHA. Ok, I admit that's actually useful sometimes...

Victoria-if I weren't a poor student, I seriously think I would get myself one too!

Joy-I heart gummy erasers too! As for the Prefecture, well, I'd love to shove one of those tiny rulers where the sun don't...

Jennie-I try to hate on them too about their school stuff, but I'm really kinda jealous to be honest. Well, jealous minus when those same 18 yr old boys are wearing prettier purses than me.

Can't stand the murses. Fanny packs(bum bags) neither. Oh, and when boys my age are wearing tighter and more stylish jeans than I am. Ok, I'd better stop as I can see where this is going...
